A week in France

France has so much to see and a week isn't long enough; but if you'd like to experience northern, western, southern, and eastern France, here's an itinerary for how to do it all in 8 days. Plan out your trip ahead of time: book Airbnbs, rent a car, and pack accordingly.

Day 1. Fly into Paris, preferably early. Get your rental car and drive west to Brittany. Book your first Airbnb in the small town of Rochefort-en-Terre. Here you will see sheep farms and breath in fresh air. take a walk around town, visit all the small shops, buy a baguette, and have a fancy dinner. Be sure to order wine and a crème brûlée.

Day 2. Drive to the west coast for some sea food and explore Vannes.

Day 3. Start driving south. Visit vineyards in Bordeaux, wine taste, have dinner at a chateau, and stay in your Airbnb outside the city.

Day 4. Get up early and drive to Le Cap D'ange and spend the morning sailing the Mediterranean. You'll be able to spot Spain in the distance and get a real southern France experience. Get settled in at your Airbnb by the sea and then have a nice dinner at a chateau overlooking the vineyards.

Day 5. Have breakfast at a café in Narbonne and explore a little before driving east to Provence. Stay at Garrigae Abbaye de Sainte-Croix and enjoy the amazing view. Wake up early and have room service deliver lattes and croissants in abundance.

Day 6. Drive east and stop in Gordes to explore the ancient, hilltop village. Visit the small shops; buy some bread, meat, and cheese, and have a picnic before your drive thru the mountains to Annecy.

Day 7. After your first night in Annecy, have brunch and then enjoy exploring the old town tucked away in the mountains only an hour from Switzerland. Walk the cobbled streets along the canal and drink a pint of something strong.

Day 8. Grab a coffee and croissant to go and start your drive to Paris early. Settle into your room before going out and buying all the essentials for a picnic in front of the Eiffel Tower. Be sure to stay till the evening and watch the tower light up.

Day 8. It's your last day in Paris, so get up early and have a coffee and biscuit at Shakespeare Café with the Notre-Dame in site.
